Web Handling Equipments are so amazing. I just starting working in this field and it is awesome. The process is very complicated and it is so sophisticated controls. The most interesting part is the different variety of applications this products have. Anything which can be rolled, can be produced in this web handling equipments.

Energy Harvesting

Energy Harvesting, I did not know this exact word before i came across an electrowetting article. I have always wondered if we can capture the energy which is generated from treadmill, bicycle and dump into some other form of battery from where it can be used for our regular day to day in house usage.

I am always curious to know such energy harvesting methods which primarily convert mechanical energy into electrical energy. If i have to design some general purpose device i would make it such that it can be attached to any shaft size with a coupling attached to it, so that any rotating movement can be converted to electrical energy.

I would love to hear if anybody can refer me to such product.
